the art of sliding...by Hayden Miller

Hayden's first game was eye opening. Eye opening like "Wow, I guess we should have taken the time to go over the basics of baseball with Hayden BEFORE the game". Before we get to the art of sliding, we'll go over 'out field play' according to Hayden. Coach put Hayden in right field. It would have been good for Hayden (and the 2 base runners he took out) to know that he is supposed to field all balls hit to RIGHT field.... not all the balls hit during the game. Hayden tried to field every single ball that was hit. A ball hit down third base line... no problem ~ Hayden will track it down from right field. A ball hit to left field ~ not to worry ~ Hayden's got that one too. Every single ball, he was on it and took out a couple of runners in the process. So... onto sliding.

hitting the ball.... no problem

running the bases.... no problem. But the next 4 pics were taken on sport setting on the camera which fires in rapid shots and got his whole "slide" into home base... he got up really slow after this one ;)

he actually DID roll over home plate....

Here's Jennavieve taking her t-ball very seriously

at least for awhile.... then ......

not......

so.......
